Our gut is a powerful organ that influences the health of other organs in our body. Recent research has shown a link between the variety of the different types of bacteria in our gut and the health of our blood vessels. While more evidence is needed to understand the exact mechanism for this connection, a healthy diet that promotes a healthy gut will likely promote a healthy heart.
Eating foods rich in dietary fiber is the perfect way to make both your gut and heart happy. Dietary fibers help to feed the “good” bacteria in your gut and lower both blood pressure and cholesterol for a healthy heart!
